How to build a professional modeling portfolio Workshop | Modelling portfolio photographer Sandton

These were taken at a modelling workshop.  I really would like to start getting more involved in model's portfolios and this was a great beginner's course.  It was also benefitical in that it challenged us to come up with 60 different poses in 60 seconds!!  Jeepers!  Talk about a brain strain.  Here are the results.  None too shabby ;)

Wedding Workshop with Brett Florens at Oakfield Farm | Wedding Photographer Sandton

Wow!  Is the only word I can use to describe the last two days.  My eyes have been opened to a whole new way of thinking.  Not only has Brett totally changed the way I will approach my photography in the future but he's an amazing businessman.  It's no wonder he's as successful as he is.  Below are just a few of the great pics I managed to capture.  There are loads more to come!  And excuse me if I do gloat over them a bit ;)

Strobist Workshop | Fashion Photographer Sandton

Sunday found me in Walkerville with some of the folks from the Camerastuff team for a strobist workshop.  Now up until then, I'd been quite satisfied with my speedlite flash attached to my camera, but after this course my eyes were opened up to a whole other world.  My goodness, I don't think I'll ever be satisfied with just an ordinary flash again! I'm still getting a hang of it, as my transmitters gave me a bit of grief, but it's all part of the learning curve and at least I managed a few successful photos from that session.  Here are just a few.  Still editing my way through them all, and having so much fun.  Nothing better than a great pic which with only a few enhancements and corrections makes ...

Wedding Workshop at Rademeyers Pretoria | Wedding Photographer Sandton

These are pictures I took at a Wedding Workshop I did with Pixel Pro last year in September.   It was hosted by Andre Bredenhann, who is an expert in this field.   Any previous ideas I’d had about wedding photography were completely thrown out the window.   No wonder he’s so good at what he does.   He thinks out the box and is definitely not afraid to take control of ‘his’ day as he calls it.   Despite there being quite a few togs at this workshop  – I managed to get some good shots considering it was my first time shooting a bridal couple EVER!!
