 We are at that stage of the year where we're not sure whether to haul out the old Christmas tree and decorations yet, or to rather wait until it becomes painfully necessary.

One aspect you shouldn't leave to chance, are your Christmas photos. Yes, Christmas Photos with Ashleigh Rose Photography has definitely become a thing. In fact we've had clients coming to Ashleigh Rose Photography for their annual Christmas shoot, since our inception in 2012.

Some of the advantages of having an annual Christmas shoot with Ashleigh Rose Photography is :

1. Compared to our standard family portraits; these are discounted by a fair amount.

2. No need to stress about location or outfits. It's basically all set up done for you and the outfit choice becomes an easy one when the colours are your standard Christmas fare

3. It's a wonderful way to compare, year-on-year, the changes your family go through. You may think it's only your children making headway in terms of height etc, but us grownups are changing too.

4. Last but not least - it's a fun family activity - with wonderful keepsakes as the outcome.

If dad doesn't want to join, or mom's not up to dressing up - then let us capture shots of the kids alone. We have a package for that too.

Equestrian Matric Dance Photoshoot | Matric Dance Photographer

I am always nervous when incorporating something new into a photoshoot, and this particular instance was no different.  I was asked if I'd do some pre-matric dance photos for a beautiful young lady the other day.  Now that wasn't the difficult part.  The part that worried me a little, was that we'd be including two horses!  I love horses and think they are majestic creatures, but I've have never had the privilege of photographing one, so the stakes were high.  Fortunately our lovely lass handled the setting like a pro, and her equine pals Ronnie and Impi were perfect gentlemen.  All-in-all an absolutely stunning photoshoot which will definitely go down as one of my favourites :)
